My name is Stephen Owiredu. I am a recent Humber College graduate with a diploma in Tourism - Travel Services Management (Class of 2023). I am enthusiastic about working in the tourism business. Throughout my internship with WestJet Airlines, I had the chance to work directly with the customer service staff and help travelers with their travel requirements throughout the pandemic. I was able to find work and maintain my position in the aviation business.
This work helped me to hone my communication and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced atmosphere. I am grateful for the valuable skills and experience I gained. I am confident that my education and hands-on experience have prepared me well for a career in the tourism industry.
I am eager to contribute my knowledge and skills to a dynamic organization that values customer satisfaction and strives to provide exceptional travel experiences. During my time at Humber College, I took an elective course called the cruise industry, and it sparked my interest in pursuing a career in this specific area of tourism.
Currently, I am working on getting into the cruiseline industry associated with clia, which I believe will allow me to further enhance my expertise in the tourism field.After joining the cruiseline industry to gain experience in the field. I will be returning to school to continue with my bachelors degree,also further my career within the public service(Federal Government Of Canada).
